A commercial kitchen in Banksia Grove was running a double rotisserie unit through a busy trade period. The equipment had been flagged for a full mechanical overhaul. Multiple drive components were worn and the unit needed same-day attention to stay in service rotation.
What Was Happening
The rotisserie had progressive mechanical wear across several drive components. The top bearing assembly, drive chain, belt, belt tensioner, and drive motor coupling were all due for replacement. On equipment like this, worn drive components do not fail one at a time. They work as a system, and a unit running with degraded components risks coming off entirely during service. For a chicken rotisserie in a busy supermarket environment, that is a significant trading risk.
How It Was Handled
Travis arrived on site, isolated the unit, and moved it clear of the wall to access the top assembly. He dismantled the top bearing assembly, fitted the new bearing kit, replaced the chain, belt, belt tensioner, and motor coupling, aligned the motor, and tested the unit through a full cycle before leaving the site. Every component replaced was documented against the work order.
The Result
The unit returned to full service the same day. The operator received complete documentation against the work order, with all replaced components recorded. No follow-up call was needed.
