What is the $750 pre-authorisation?

The $750 pre-authorisation is a temporary security hold placed on your card when you book online — it is not a charge. You will only ever be charged the actual invoice amount when the job is complete. The hold releases automatically within 5–7 business days if unused.
Why pre-authorisation instead of a deposit?

A pre-auth protects both parties. We can dispatch a technician with confidence, and you are protected because we can only capture what we invoice — nothing more. If we cannot fix your equipment, you pay nothing beyond any agreed callout fee.
How quickly will someone call after I book?

Our office reviews every booking and calls to confirm your service time, typically within 2–4 business hours. For urgent breakdowns call us directly on

Can I book same-day or after hours?

Yes. We operate 24/7 for emergency breakdowns. Same-day attendance is subject to technician availability. For urgent after-hours jobs, call us directly rather than booking online.
What if I need to cancel?

Services & Equipment
What types of commercial equipment do you repair?

All commercial food equipment — combi ovens, cool rooms, dishwashers, deep fryers, commercial ovens, salamanders, blast chillers, commercial refrigerators, display fridges, gas burners, ranges, commercial air conditioning and more. We do not service domestic appliances or residential air conditioning.
What brands do you service?

All major brands — Rational, Convotherm, Electrolux Professional, Moffat, Waldorf, Turbofan, Unox, Washtech, Hobart, Winterhalter, Comenda, Eswood, Skope, Hoshizaki, Roband, Blue Seal, Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu and more. PEMS is one of the few companies in WA with the diagnostic skills and scale to service all makes and models — including obscure and hard-to-source equipment. If your brand is not listed, call us.
Do you cover electrical, gas, refrigeration and air conditioning?

Yes — all four under one contractor. Electrical EC016553, refrigeration & air conditioning ARC AU59251 and Type A gas. Most competitors cover only one trade. Having all four means we can diagnose and fix complex faults without subcontracting.
Do you service air conditioning?

Yes — commercial premises only. We service and repair split systems, ducted systems, cassette units, package and rooftop units, and VRV/VRF systems in commercial environments. We do not service residential or domestic air conditioning.
Do you service domestic appliances?

No. PEMS is commercial only. We service commercial kitchens, bakeries, aged care, hotels, restaurants and food production. We do not service home ovens, fridges or dishwashers.
Qualifications & Compliance
What licences does PEMS hold?

Electrical Contractor Licence EC016553 (EnergySafety WA), Refrigeration Authority ARC AU59251, and Type A gas appliance licence. All work completed by qualified, licensed tradespeople.
Are you insured?

Yes. PEMS carries comprehensive public liability and workers compensation insurance. Certificates of currency available on request — important for corporate clients, facility managers and procurement teams.
Can you provide compliance documentation?

Yes. Every job includes a detailed report documenting all work performed, parts replaced and compliance outcomes — important for food safety audits and insurance.
Do you understand food safety urgency?

Pricing & Payment
How is the job priced?

We assess the fault and provide a clear quote before proceeding. You only pay what is invoiced — the $750 pre-auth is a security hold, not the price of the job. You pay only for actual work completed as per our terms and conditions.
What payment methods do you accept?

Visa, Mastercard and bank transfer. Card payments processed securely through Stripe.
Is there a callout fee?

Callout fees apply and vary by location and time. This is discussed when our office calls to confirm your booking.
Do you offer maintenance contracts?
