A franchise cafe in Belmont had just come out of a kitchen refurbishment. The under-cabinet fridge was not working. With a full trading day ahead and cold product on the line, the site needed a same-day resolution.

What Was Happening

The fridge would not turn on at all. When the fault was traced, a faulty power switch was the starting point. Once that was replaced and the unit started, it still was not cooling. A blockage in the refrigeration circuit was found. Approval was obtained from the site contact before any further work proceeded. Parts were sourced and the system was properly decommissioned before the repair was carried out.

How It Was Handled

Ben attended, worked through the fault methodically, and handled the repair in a single visit. The refrigerant was safely reclaimed and disposed of. New components were fitted, the system was recommissioned, and operation was monitored until the cabinet reached its set point. A photo of the fridge holding temperature at 2.5 degrees was attached to the job record before the tech left site.

The Result

The fridge was back at operating temperature within the same attendance. The operator received documented confirmation of the outcome, including photographic evidence. No second visit required.
