Caterlink operates a catering and events facility in Osborne Park. Two separate kitchen spaces, each running a commercial conveyor dishwasher through back-to-back service periods. When both units needed replacing at the same time, the handover had to go right. Downtime during a function turnaround is not a scheduling inconvenience. It is a service failure.

What Was Happening

The two existing conveyor dishwashers had reached end of service life and were being replaced with newer units across both the Victory Room kitchen and the Function Room kitchen. Each installation required disconnection from electrical, plumbing, and chemical services, then full recommissioning of the replacement units including drain runs, hot water connections, cold water supply lines, and bench limit switch installation. Both sites needed the work completed to the same standard, with no shortcuts on either.

How It Was Handled

PEMS managed the full scope across both kitchens, including all trades in a single coordinated process. Drain pipes and hot water hoses were replaced as part of each installation. Additional cold water connections and outlet drain lines were added where the new units required them. Chemical dosing was connected and verified. The bench limit switches, which control when the conveyor runs, were installed and set correctly before each machine was handed back for use. Documentation covered the full scope on both sites.

The Result

Both kitchens were returned to service with the replacement dishwashers fully commissioned across electrical, plumbing, and chemical connections. Caterlink received complete records of what was disconnected, what was installed, and what was verified at handover.
