A faulty temperature probe brought the commercial dishwasher at Youanmi Gold Village to a standstill in April 2026. For a remote site operation relying on consistent sanitation equipment, a non-functioning rinse tank is not a minor inconvenience. Contaminated crockery and halted food service operations were the immediate risks.
The Fault
The Eswood dishwasher was displaying a boiler error code traced to a failed PT100 three-wire temperature probe on the rinse tank. The 3-metre probe, which feeds live temperature data to the digital LED controller, had failed completely. Without accurate temperature readings, the controller could not activate the 3kW 240V heating element, leaving the rinse tank cold and the programmed rinse cycle unable to complete.
The Repair
PEMS technician Ben travelled to the Youanmi Gold Village site, accessed the dishwasher, and replaced the faulty PT100 probe with a correctly rated unit. Once the new probe was installed and wired into the three-wire circuit, the temperature controller resumed accurate readings. Ben then carried out a full service of the machine and tested all programmed rinse cycles through multiple complete runs to confirm reliable operation.
The Outcome
The Eswood dishwasher returned to full operation with the rinse tank heating correctly and all error codes cleared. The site kitchen was able to resume normal dishwashing cycles with confidence in both sanitation performance and equipment reliability.
