Convotherm 4 E63 Fault Repair at Perth Museum Hackett Hall

A commercial kitchen at Hackett Hall inside the Perth Museum faced an unexpected disruption in early 2026 when a key piece of cooking equipment went offline. The Fault

Technician Ben arrived on site in March 2026, signing in through security and accessing the commercial kitchen to investigate. The Convotherm 4 combi oven was displaying an E63 fault code, pointing to a failed injection pressure switch on the FLOWME system. This component controls steam injection pressure during cooking cycles, and without it operating correctly, the oven could not function safely or reliably.

The Repair

With the faulty injection pressure switch identified, Ben sourced the correct replacement part and returned to the Perth Museum site in April 2026. He isolated the equipment, changed out the pressure switch, and reassembled the unit. Once powered back on, the oven cleared the E63 fault code immediately. Ben then ran the Convotherm 4 through a full clean cycle to confirm everything was operating as expected.

The Outcome

The Convotherm 4 returned to full operation with no fault codes present and a clean cycle completed successfully. Heyder and Shears could resume normal kitchen service at Hackett Hall without further disruption.
