A major supermarket in Yanchep had a chicken cooker that had already been looked at once. The oven was still not working properly. With a deli prep area depending on it for daily service, the unit being out of action was not a minor inconvenience.

What Was Happening

The double rotisserie oven had two separate faults running at the same time. One side was stopping partway through a cook cycle. The other side was not draining after use, leaving water sitting in the unit. The issue had been attended to previously, but the underlying cause had not been fully resolved. The oven was filling with water, and deli service was being held back as a result.

How It Was Handled

PEMS technician Philip attended the Yanchep South site in April 2026. The front of the oven was disassembled to access the drain valve. Once the original valve and manifold were out, a replacement kit was fitted. During the work, a secondary blockage was found further into the system. That blockage was cleared before the new components were installed. The oven was tested on both sides before Philip left the site. All functions confirmed working.

The Result

Both sides of the chicken cooker were returned to full operation in a single visit. The operator received complete documentation of what was found, what was replaced, and what was tested. No outstanding items were left open.

Why PEMS

The first attendance had not resolved the fault. Philip's visit went further, identifying a secondary blockage that was contributing to the original problem. Finding the second fault on the same call avoided another disruption to deli service.
