A dishwasher that trips a circuit is easy to dismiss as an electrical quirk.
At a cafe in Alkimos, the trip was consistent enough to pull a technician out for a same-day look in January.
What Was Happening
The commercial dishwasher had been tripping its circuit. On arrival, the unit appeared to be running. Further tracing identified the wash tank element had failed. A secondary issue, a slow leak on the wash pump hose, was found during reassembly checks. Neither fault was obvious from the outside. Both were found in the same visit.
How It Was Handled
The technician confirmed the fault, spoke directly with the manager on site, sourced the replacement element, and returned the same day to complete the repair. After the element was replaced, the unit was tested under load. The hose leak was identified during that test and repaired before sign-off. The kitchen did not go through another service with an unresolved secondary fault sitting in a report.
The Result
The dishwasher was fully operational by the end of the visit. Both faults were resolved and tested. The operator had one job number, one visit outcome, and no return call booked.
Why PEMS
The secondary fault on the hose could have been left for a follow-up. It was not. PEMS technicians test under real operating conditions before closing a job, which means faults found during testing get resolved in the same visit, not the next one.
