Opening paragraph:
A commercial kitchen in Mandurah had water pooling on the floor during service. The City of Mandurah's MARC cafe kitchen was down, the floor was a safety hazard, and the dishwasher was out of action.
What Was Happening
The dishwasher had developed an internal leak. Water was making its way out of the machine and onto the kitchen floor, creating a slip hazard during an operating shift. A plumber had already attended and confirmed the leak was coming from inside the machine itself, not from the external plumbing connections. The kitchen needed a specialist, not another general trade response.
How It Was Handled
PEMS attended to diagnose the fault. The source was located at the chemical injection point on the main wash tank, where a locking nut had worked free from its thread, allowing the connection to pull away from the tank. Parts were identified and sourced. On a follow-up visit, PEMS arrived to find the chemical supply team had already replaced the chemical inlet jet as part of their own service call. The repair was completed with the correct parts fitted and the machine verified as operational.
The Result
The dishwasher was back in service with the fault documented and resolved. The City of Mandurah received a clear record of the diagnosis, the parts involved, and the repair outcome. No residual leak, no ongoing floor hazard.
Why PEMS
Commercial dishwashers sit at the intersection of plumbing, chemicals, and electrical systems. PEMS carries the trade coverage to diagnose across all three without the site having to coordinate multiple contractors when the fault does not sit neatly in one category.
