Commercial Chicken Oven Repair Karrinyup Supermarket Deli

Opening paragraph:

A major supermarket in Karrinyup had a chicken oven rotating fault during the deli department's April service period. For a high-volume deli running a rotisserie program, a chicken oven that stops turning is not a minor inconvenience. It is a product line down, a display case empty, and a compliance headache before the day has started.

What Was Happening

The oven had stopped rotating on one side. Investigation found the frame supporting the drive assembly had broken welds, a snapped and shredded belt had wrapped itself around the drive motor shaft, and the door gas struts had seized. The seized struts were the likely root cause of the frame damage. Both drip trays were missing from the unit, which created an additional compliance exposure on a food-contact surface.

How It Was Handled

Travis attended site and assessed the full extent of the damage before making any repairs. Interim repairs were completed to return the oven to operational status while parts were ordered. The belt was replaced. The damaged frame was temporarily secured. The seized gas struts were removed entirely to prevent further structural damage while the permanent repair was pending. The operator received a documented findings report covering all faults found, interim actions taken, and outstanding repairs required.

The Result

The oven was returned to service the same visit. The operator had a clear written record of what was found, what was done, and what still needed to be completed. No ambiguity about outstanding items.

Why PEMS

Multi-trade capability means PEMS can assess structural fabrication faults, mechanical drive failures, and compliance items in a single attendance. The operator does not need to coordinate separate contractors to close out a job with multiple fault types.
