A major supermarket's deli section runs hard through every shift.
When the double chicken cooker in the Currambine deli prep area developed a chamber fault and both drums started running loud, the store had a problem that could not wait for a scheduled visit.
What Was Happening
The Roastrunner double chicken cooker had thrown a chamber fault message and both cooking chambers had become noticeably loud during operation. In a deli prep area running volume through the day, that kind of fault signals a mechanical issue working its way toward a full breakdown. Left unattended, it means no cooked product on the shelf during a busy trading period.
How It Was Handled
Travis attended site, moved the unit out from the wall, and removed the panels to access the internal components. The motor and motor coupling were pulled and inspected. New parts were fitted, the motor was realigned during reassembly, and a shaft coupling assembly was fabricated on site to complete the repair. The unit was tested across both chambers before sign-off.
The Result
Both chambers returned to normal operation. The repair was completed within the attendance window, documented against the asset tag, and the work order closed with the store contact confirmed. The deli prep area stayed operational without losing a full trading period.
Why PEMS
Fabricating a coupling assembly on site rather than ordering and returning kept the unit in service the same visit. For a deli running continuous product volume, that difference is a full day of trading.
