Two bain maries in the Bethanie Dalyellup Banksia Wing went down at the same time.

What Was Happening

Both bain maries had stopped functioning. On inspection, the fuse holder had failed and showed signs of a previous repair attempt that had not been carried out correctly. The wiring on one unit had heat damage to the main live connection. This was not a routine wear item. It was a fault that had been partially addressed before and left in a state that made the next failure more likely, not less.

How It Was Handled

The correct parts were sourced and the technician travelled to site the same day the job was logged. The damaged fuse holder was replaced. On the second unit, the burned wiring was cut back, re-terminated with the correct high-temperature rated materials, and reinstalled properly. Both units were tested before sign-off. Photo documentation was completed on site.

The Result

Both bain maries returned to full operation before the next service round. The operator received documented evidence of what was found, what was done, and confirmation that the previous repair concern had been fully addressed rather than patched again.
